Since 1998, IBMiX designed and deployed a suite of branded experiences for the US Open Tennis Championships ranging from web sites across all digital platforms, as well as apps for native iOS and Android for both remote and on-site tennis fans. Innovations that met and exceeded the expectations of tennis fans include Live Scoring with IBM SlamTracker, Live Video with Keys to the Match, Analytics, and Insights. Innovations that meet and exceed the expectations of today’s tennis fans include US Open Guest Info with Watson, Match Insights with IBM Watson, IBM Power Rankings, Likelihood to Win with Watson, and AI Draw Analysis.
My role in IBM Corporate Marketing’s Real Time Sports Events practice was to co-design interactive branded interface systems to visualize data using IBM technology while enhancing the US Open brand, strengthening the partnership, and increase engagement for casual and deeply knowledgeable tennis fans of all ages.
